Early petrol lighters were often cylindrical and easy to operate, and during wartime people fashioned lighters from empty shell casings. KNNOX studied these examples diligently.
KNNOX crafts each brass body from a single rod without unnecessary ornamentation, ensuring a comfortable grip. The lighter’s sliding mechanism is optimised to provide a consistent flame and is refined to perfection.
Brass is heavy, but it should still feel comfortable in the hand. Through making many prototypes, we refined a shape that fits well and is pleasant to hold.
